Radleigh Homes’ highly popular new Scholars’ Gate development in Mickleover has welcomed its first occupier.
Gary Patterson, a sales manager for a software company, has bought a four bedroom detached house on the site and is delighted with his new home.
Gary, who previously lived at City Point in Wilmorton, had been dreaming of moving to Mickleover for some time and found that the Scholars’ Gate house offered him everything he was looking for.
He said: “I work from home so it’s great to have a house with room for a spacious new office.
“I love the flexibility that the layout of the new property brings and I’m also impressed with the high standard of design and workmanship both internally and externally.”
Gary, 35, said his new home provided him with all the living space he required as well as being situated in an attractive residential area with plenty of amenities and good road links.
He added: “Mickleover is a nice part of Derby and although I don’t commute to work I do have to travel on occasions so being close to a good road network is convenient.”
Gary added that choosing a new house had also helped make the whole home buying process easier as he had not to worry about being in a chain.
He said: “The move has gone smoothly and after looking at two or three other properties of various ages in and around Mickleover, I am very happy with my decision.”
Scholars’ Gate at Varsity Grange is a mix of three and four bedroom homes all individually styled and offering a range of high quality internal features.
Since the Scholars’ Gate show home opened at Easter the site has attracted a constant flow of potential house hunters with inquiries rapidly becoming firm sales. Many of the first phase homes are now reserved and Radleigh have had to release further properties off plan to keep up with demand.
Senior Sales Executive, Liz Furness added: “We’re very pleased to welcome Gary as the first occupier at our Scholars’ Gate development and look forward to seeing more buyers move into their homes on the development as sales and build reach completion.”
