How does Radleigh Homestart work? You must arrange for mortgage finance for 75% of the purchase price, via our nominated mortgage broker. As you are only borrowing 75% of the market value, you will qualify for some of the best mortgage deals in the market. You have to repay 25% of the market value at the time of resale / transfer. The market value will be determined by two independent valuations taking place by agreed agents within your area.
When do I have to repay? The loan is repayable in full by a single payment when you sell or transfer your home, or within 10 years of completion of your original purchase, whichever is sooner.
Are there any other costs involved? When you wish to repay, you will also have to pay us an administration charge of 0.25% of the market value of the property and reasonable legal costs estimated to be £250.
Can I buy a property to rent out? Sorry, this scheme is only available for those buying the home as a place to live.
